What Koine records while you use it, why, and for how long.
What we record
For each request the app serves: the page or action, when it ran, how long it took, whether it failed, and your account id. For errors in your browser: the message, where in the code it happened, and the page.
What stays out
What you type, your answers, your passwords and the contents of your books never go into these records.
Why
To find and fix what breaks. The legal basis is legitimate interest under the GDPR: the app cannot be kept working without it.
How long
30 days. After that the records are deleted automatically.
Staff bug reports
Staff accounts can file a bug report that also saves a screenshot and a short recording of their own screen. Only staff sessions are recorded this way, never a learner's.
